Should know multiplication facts for 2, 5 and 10 time table and drive quickly the corresponding division facts
Could derive and recall multiplication and division facts for the 3s, 4s and 6s time table

Curriculum Plan Terms 1 (2009)

Our topic this term is The Rotten Romans. Work across the curriculum will be based on the Romans.
In literacy we will be looking at non-fiction texts and play-scripts. In history we will be exploring the Roman Invasion of Britain and in geography we will be comparing and contrasting Italy and the U.K. In art we will be making Roman mosaics.

On 1st October we will be having a Roman Day. The children are invited to dress up as Romans and there will be workshops on the Romans with a special guest, Gill Whitten.

The Great Fire of London

The children will be learning about life in England during the time of the Great Fire of London. The children will be using books, drama and ICT to investigate how the Great Fire of London started and how it spread so quickly and how eventually it stopped.

After School Childcare

Neighbourhood Kids is the joint childcare venture with Northbourne CE Primary School and Willowcroft Community School. Appropriate for children ages 5-11 the Neighbourhood Kids After School Club pairs with the Neighbourhood Kids Holiday Day Camps to offer year-round childcare.

Breakfast Club

The Breakfast Club at Northbourne has been running since November 2005.

The Breakfast Club is open from 8.00am and provides the children who attend with breakfast, consisting of fruit juice, cereal and toast. Breakfast Club takes place in the library and activities are provided for the children.  Breakfast Club will cost £4.00 per day (+£3.50 for siblings)
