NORTHBOURNE CARNIVAL – FRIDAY 26TH JUNE 5 PM TO 8 PM
In exchange for non-uniform day you are asked to bring a bottle of drink to be collected at the school gate on the morning of Friday 26th June to be used on the bottle tombola stall.
If anybody has any spare old china we could use on the china smashing stall there is a collection box outside the school office.
The next PTA meeting is on Tuesday 9th June at 7.30 pm at the Royal Oak. Everybody welcome. Any extra helpers for the carnival would be fantastic.
SPORTS DAY
This year our Sports Day will be held on Wednesday 8th July starting at 1.00 pm. All parents and friends are welcome to come.
TENNIS CLUB
Tennis Club has now finished for the year. Thank you to all the children who came and well done for improving so much. Miss Hill.
GOLF CLUB
We regret to inform you that due to circumstances beyond our control Golf Club is cancelled for the rest of this term. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause you.
WOW OWLS
The children from foundation and key stage one, enjoyed watching visiting owls swoop down for food on Monday. They now know what a barn owl, little owl and eagle owl look like. The children were fascinated to learn that many owls prefer to walk instead of fly everywhere. Did you know that owls gulp down their prey whole only to regurgitate the inedible bits later as a pellet. The presenters remarked that the children’s behaviour was as usual a great credit to the school.
SCIENCE CLUB
There will be no science club on Friday 12th June.

HELP! 2 LITRE BOTTLES AND JAM JARS NEEDED PLEASE
The children in Red, Green and Orange class are desperate to make wormeries and mini green houses to grown things. If you have any spare bottles or jam jars please donate them to us.
TESCO VOUCHERS
The Tesco Vouchers for Schools and Clubs Scheme is coming to an end in the next week. Please can all parents and friends collect as many as possible for new equipment next year. Ask the staff at Tesco for any spare vouchers!
CLASSROOM BOOK AMNESTY!
Do you have any school books which have been borrowed from classroom libraries and are now lying around in bedrooms?! If so, could you please send them back into school. Don't worry if these have been borrowed during a previous academic year - we will make sure they end up back in the right place! Thanks for your co-operation with this.
WOOD!
The children in the Foundation Stage and Year 1 have enjoyed using the woodwork trolley. Unfortunately we have run out of wood. If anyone has any offcuts of wood that we could have, please could you bring them in for us. We would also like any tools you no longer use, nails and bottle tops. Thank you, Miss Tierney, Miss Yolland and Mrs McIntyre.
