FUN FOR FREE!
If your child would like to take part in an activity after school e.g. some of the new activities at Cornerstone Arts Centre but you may have difficulty in paying, contact either your child's class teacher, Mrs Burr or Mrs Rowley in the office to see if you are eligible for the grant we have received from the Government. The activities could range from swimming lessons, to Brownie/Cub subscriptions to horse-riding lessons, or almost any activity! There is no complicated paperwork involved.
GREY CLASS MOVIE
The DVD's that were ordered are now available to be purchased from the office. Thank you.
SWIMMING CLUB
Swimming Club is cancelled for next week, but will start again the following week on Tuesday 10th March.
SWIMMING LESSONS - THURSDAYS
Swimming on Thursday 5th March is cancelled for Mauve and Brown Classes for one week only.
CYCLING PROFICIENCY
Congratulations to all the children for passing their cycling test. The final group will start their course in June. Exact dates to follow.
SAINSBURY'S ACTIVE KIDS VOUCHERS
If you shop at Sainsbury's you could help us by donating your Active Kids vouchers to Northbourne School. The school will be able to use the vouchers to acquire equipment which will inspire young people to become more active. Just collect the vouchers and send them to us. Many thanks.
JUNK MODELLING
A big thank you to everyone who brought in junk for Red class. You would not believe how many different classes have used some of the junk from our collection. As a result our junk has been greatly depleted and the children would love some more please.
We are also in need of newspaper if you have any and painting overalls. So if you are having a clear out to make room for your January bargains please send your old shirts to us.
TOKENS
We are currently collecting 2 sets of tokens:
Books For Schools tokens from the Times and Sunday Times
Nestle Box Tops for Books from Nestle cereals and other products.
The collection boxes for these are in reception - please help us increase our stock of library and classroom books by contributing, and please ask family, friends and colleagues for their spare tokens too!
BICYCLES OR SCOOTERS
Please remind your child that for health and safety reasons if they have a bicycle or scooter they should not ride it on school grounds but instead should walk pushing it.
BRITISH HEART FOUNDATION TALENT SHOW
This event, which was organized and run by two children in Mauve Class, was a resounding success and they raised £200 for the British Heart Foundation. We would like to thank all of you who came along and joined in.
There were children from many schools who entered the talent show. All of the acts were fantastic and great fun was had by all.
The girls are continuing to raise funds, through collection tins and also have some heart pins which they are selling for £1.00 each. Many thanks.
GOSPEL CHOIR EVENT AT ST PETER'S CHURCH
