PINK AND PURPLE PRODUCTION

Pink and Purple Classes production, 'A Friend Like You', will be performed to parents on Wednesday 25^th March at 1.45 pm and 6.30 pm and on Thursday 26^th March at 6.30 pm. There will be a crèche at all performances for children under 5 years but could parents let their child's teacher know beforehand if they are going to take advantage of this facility. Tickets will go on sale on Monday 16^th March where parents will be able to purchase 2 tickets per family. From Thursday 19^th March, parents will be able to purchase as many tickets are they like.

GREY CLASS MOVIE

The DVD's that were ordered are now available to be purchased from the office. Thank you.

GARDENING CLUB

Gardening Club begins again on Wednesday 11^th March, 3.00 - 3.45 pm for KS2 children. Permission slips can be obtained from the office. Thank you.

SICKNESS AND TUMMY BUGS

Recent advice given to the school from the Oxfordshire County Council states that people should stay away from school or work until they have been free of symptoms for 48 hours. Exclusion from swimming should be for 2 weeks following last episode of diarrhoea. Children can swim following sickness only bugs. If your child has had diarrhoea during the term that he/she is swimming please let us know when you inform us of the absence so that they are not taken swimming. Those who handle food as part of their work should check with their employers and GP before returning.

WILLOW MAZE

The willow maze in our KS1 playground needs trimming and weeding. If you are able to help us with this please speak to someone in the office. Many thanks.

SAINSBURY'S ACTIVE KIDS VOUCHERS

If you shop at Sainsbury's you could help us by donating your Active Kids vouchers to Northbourne School. The school will be able to use the vouchers to acquire equipment which will inspire young people to become more active. Just collect the vouchers and send them to us. Many thanks.

JUNK MODELLING

A big thank you to everyone who brought in junk for Red class. You would not believe how many different classes have used some of the junk from our collection. As a result our junk has been greatly depleted and the children would love some more please.

We are also in need of newspaper if you have any and painting overalls. So if you are having a clear out to make room for your January bargains please send your old shirts to us.

The collection boxes for these are in reception - please help us increase our stock of library and classroom books by contributing, and please ask family, friends and colleagues for their spare tokens too!

GOSPEL CHOIR EVENT AT ST PETER'S CHURCH

There will be a Gospel Choir Event at St Peter's Church on Sunday 15^th March, with a rehearsal at 4.00pm and a short service at 5.00pm. Almost 100 people came to the last Gospel Choir meeting in February, and there will be some new songs on 15^th March. Everyone is very welcome to attend. Great news! We're planning fantastic Day Camps to be held at Willowcroft School throughout the upcoming holidays starting with Easter! As they are the hosts, priority is given to the students of Willowcroft, Northbourne and Lydalls schools but anyone can attend, even visiting relatives! Keep an eye out for more detailed information that's on its way! We hope you'll join us in the fun!

PTA SCHOOL DISCO

The next school discos will take place on Thursday 19^th March. Infants 5pm - 6pm and Juniors 6.16pm - 7.30. Tickets for each will be £1.50 per child and will be available from the school office from the 9^th March.

The ticket price includes drinks during the discos and a bag of sweets to take home. The PTA would appreciate any additional help during either disco.

FOUNDATION AND KEY STAGE 1 - EASTER BUNNY HUNT

The PTA are organising an Easter Bunny Hunt for the children in Foundation and Key Stage 1 classes. If you would like your child to participate please complete the reply slip below and return it in a sealed envelope with £1 entry fee to your child's class teacher.
