Amazing Antarctica

Grey Class' most recent topic, "Amazing Antarctica", has just come to a close.
The children (and teacher!) have enjoyed it very much, and have learned lots about the climate, wildlife and exploration of the coldest continent on Earth.

Author visits Northbourne School

Top children's author Ian Whybrow, creator of Harry and the Bucketful of Dinosaurs and Sniff, was full of praise for Northbourne Cof E Primary School on his recent visit. Read about his visit and see photos from the day here.

Story Character Fancy Dress

This year we have a long-term guest in school, Senora Maru. She is teaching Spanish across the school and also learning about our country and language.

Carnival comes to Northbourne!

In February 2009, to launch a new creative development plan, Northbourne had the opportunity to spend time working with professional artists.

Ofsted: Outstanding early years and foundation stage and curriculum

Northbourne had an Ofsted inspection in October 2008. We are delighted to report that the school received outstanding grades for the effectiveness and achievement of its Early Years and Foundation Stage, and also for the its vibrant and creative curriculum.
