WELCOME BACK!
Welcome back to Northbourne at the start of a new school year! We hope you had a relaxing summer holiday, and that children are all refreshed and ready to begin a new term. It was lovely to stand at the gate this morning and see so many smart, well-behaved children streaming into school, looking forward to starting work with their new teachers.

SIZZLING SUCCESS...
After weeks of careful planning and preparation by the PTA and staff, we were lucky to have such a hot and sunny summer evening for the summer barbecue last Friday. Everyone who I spoke to during the evening thought the day was a huge success, and it was great to see so many people enjoying all of the different food and games.

BARBECUE REMINDERS
A final reminder that our international-themed summer barbecue takes place next Friday, from 5 til 8pm. We hope to see lots of you there to enjoy the sun (fingers crossed!), share a burger and ice cream, and help raise funds for the development of our quiet area on the playground. Tickets cost 50p for all ‘adults’ (anyone over Northbourne school age), and include your first raffle ticket for the hamper raffle.
